Sør-Trøndelag University College (Norwegian: Høgskolen i Sør-Trøndelag) or HiST was a Norwegian university college located in Trondheim. The school offered higher education within nursing, teaching, economics, food science, engineering and information technology. The college had six campuses throughout the city and was created in 1994 as a merger between a number of independent colleges in the city. In January 2016, HiST merged with Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Aalesund University College and Gjøvik University College. Leangen is a largely industrial neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Østbyen. Ole Falck Ebbell
Ole Falck Ebbell (13 September 1839 – 29 June 1919) was a Norwegian architect. He worked primarily in Trondheim, but he was also responsible for the design of buildings in other parts of Norway. Biography Ole Falck Ebbell was born in Christiania now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of a lawyer, Ole Falck Ebbell. He studied architecture at the Polytechnicum in Hannover, Germany and engineering at Technische Hochschule in Zürich, Switzerland and had several years of work in Oslo before he came to Trondheim. He was a teacher of mechanics and architecture at Trondheim Technical Learning Institution, the precursor to the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1871 and in 1891 he became the teacher of architecture and head of the architectural department. Trondheim Business School ( no, Handelshøyskolen i Trondheim) or HHiT, former a faculty of Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) in Trondheim, Norway, is, as of 2016, a faculty of Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The school provides economics and business management education. It was founded in 1967 as an independent university college, but in 1994 it and seven other university colleges in Trondheim merged to form HiST. From the merger until 2003 the school was called Sør-Trøndelag University College, Faculty of Economics and Administration. The school is located at Elgeseter, in a building that was officially opened in 2014. The school has about 1200 students, including 150 postgraduate and a few doctoral students. Rotvoll
Rotvoll is a neighbourhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the borough of Charlottenlund. It is located next to the Trondheim fjord between Leangen to the west and Grillstad to the east. The area is known for its rich bird life and has several times been proposed for protection. When a Statoil research and development facility was built there in the 1991, it resulted in civil disobedience at the climax of the Rotvoll controversy.
