Søndeledfjorden
Søndeledfjorden is a fjord in Risør municipality in Agder county, Norway. The long fjord begins at the village of Søndeled and flows east into the Skaggerak. The large island of Barmen sits in the middle of the fjord, effectively separating it into two fjords known as the Nordfjorden in the north and the Sørfjorden in the south. At the western end of Barmen, the Nordfjorden and Sørfjorden reconnect in an area known as the Rødsfjorden. There are many islands at the mouth of the fjord as well as in the fjord itself. The town of Risør sits at the end of a peninsula on the south side of the mainland at the entrance to the fjord. There are many villages located around the fjord as well. On the south side, there are the villages of Moen and Bossvika, and on the north side, there are the villages of Sivik and Stamsø. Risør
is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the Skagerrak coast in the traditional region of Sørlandet. The administrative centre of Risør municipality is the town of Risør. There are many villages in Risør such as Akland, Bossvika, Fie, Hødnebø, Krabbesund, Moen, Nipe, Røysland, Sandnes, Sivik, Søndeled, and Stamsø. Nordfjorden is part of Søndeledfjorden in the municipality of Risør in Agder county, Norway. It lies on the north side of the island of Barmen, which is northwest of the town of Risør. Søndeled (village)
Søndeled is a village in Risør municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located at the western end of the Søndeledfjorden at the mouth of the river Brøbøvann. The villages of Fiane, Gjerstad, Fiane and Eikeland (in Gjerstad) lie about to the north, the village of Akland lies about to the south, and the Risør (town), town of Risør is about to the southeast. Barmen, Aust-Agder
Barmen is an island in Risør municipality in Agder county, Norway. The island lies in the middle of the Søndeledfjorden, separating the fjord into the Nordfjorden to the north and the Sørfjorden to the south. The island is separated from the mainland by a very narrow channel on the southwest corner of the island where there is a short bridge. The bridge is the only road access to the island.
