Haninge
Haninge Municipality (''Haninge kommun'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in Handen, a part of the Stockholm urban area. Haninge Municipality was formed in 1971 when ''Västerhaninge'' and ''Österhaninge'' were united. The municipal coat of arms depicts a capercaillie from which the name Haninge is believed to have been derived (the German word ''hahn'' means capercaillie), while the anchor symbolizes the naval base in the municipality. The German word usage is supposedly from the old German Hansa traders who operated in the area. Geography Haninge cherishes its nature, housing the southern parts of the scenic Stockholm archipelago. There are over 3,600 islands, islets and skerries belonging to the municipality, with the three largest islands being Utö, Ornö and Muskö. Torvalla Simhall
Torvalla is a city district (Swedish: stadsdel) in southern Östersund, about six kilometres from the city core. The district has a population of around 8000. Torvalla is divided into 3 smaller areas: Fjällmon or Nedre Torvalla (Lower Torvalla), Skogsmon or Övre Torvalla (Upper Torvalla) and Ängsmon or Bortre Torvalla (Farther Torvalla). There is also an industrial area on the other side of the highway ( E14) called Verksmon. just south of Fjällmon lies Torvalla by (Torvalla village) which also counts to the district. Torvalla is a relatively young district that began to develop under the Million Programme, however, there were inhabitants in the area before it became a district of Östersund. Eriksdalsbadet is the biggest swimming centre in Stockholm, Sweden The outdoor pool was built for the 1962 European Aquatics Championships. The new ''Eriksdalsbadet'' was built 1999 and was designed by architect Björn Thynberger. Sarah Fredrika Sjöström (; born 17 August 1993) is a Swedish competitive swimmer specialising in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events. She is the current world record holder in the 50 metre freestyle (long course), the 100 metre freestyle (long course), the 50 metre butterfly (long course), the 100 metre butterfly (long course), and the 4×50 metre medley relay (short course). Stefan Nystrand (born 20 October 1981 in Haninge) is a freestyle swimmer from Sweden. Biography His father Sture Nystrand is a Swede and his mother Smiljana Kokeza is a Croat from Split. Nystrand, a short course (25 m) specialist, has won five individual medals in the FINA Short Course World Championships, and captured his first medal (silver) in long course (50 m) in the 100 m freestyle at the 2006 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest, behind Filippo Magnini of Italy. The following year he won a bronze medal at the 2007 World Aquatics Championships in Melbourne at the 50 m freestyle, with a new national record of 21.97. Louise Jöhncke (born 31 July 1976) is a former freestyle swimmer from Sweden, who competed for her native country at two consequentive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996. Simon Sjödin
Simon Sjödin (born 4 October 1986) is a Swedish competitive swimmer who represented Sweden at both the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2016 Olympic Games. He is of Gambian descent. Biography Simon Sjödin was born on 4 October 1986 into parents Kristina and Omar. Sjödin won his first Swedish Swimming Championships title in 2005, when he won the 200 meter butterfly. In 2007, he changed swim club from Södertörns SS to SK Neptun. In 2008, Simon Sjödin competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics representing Sweden. He finished 26th in the 200 m butterfly and 11th with the Swedish team in the 4 × 100 m medley relay.
