Sítio Do Picapau Amarelo (comics)
''Sítio do Picapau Amarelo'' was a Brazilian comic book series based on the eponymous novel series Sítio do Picapau Amarelo by Monteiro Lobato. It was originally released in 1977 on the success of the TV series produced by Rede Globo, comic books were published by the publisher RGE who would later become Editora Globo. It continued to be sold until 1979 when the characters Emília, Pedrinho and Visconde now has his own comics replacing the Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, but the comics only lasted two years being sold, and in 1981 the Sítio do Picapau Amarelo returned to be published. The comics being published remained until 1984, two years before the TV series is no longer in production. Only in 2006 they returned the comic books to be published, this time with the seal of Editora Globo spent besides being based so far by recent TV series produced in 2001 also by Rede Globo. ''Sítio do Picapau Amarelo'' (Portuguese title: ''Pirlimpimpim'') is a Brazilian children's television series, based on the work of Monteiro Lobato, adapted by Márcio Trigo and Roberto Talma. It was the fifth television adaptation of the work, after the first version shown by Rede Tupi between 1952 and 1963, the second version shown by TV Cultura in 1964, the third version shown by Band between 1967 and 1969 and the fourth version shown by Globo itself between 1977 and 1986. It was produced and shown by TV Globo from 2001 to 2007, After its original airing on TV Globo, the first 4 seasons of the series were aired by Futura channel from 8 December 2008, the series was also aired by Viva and TV Cultura channel in 2013. Guia Dos Quadrinhos
Guia dos Quadrinhos (''Comics Guide'') is a Brazilian comic book database created with the objective of cataloging all comics published in Brazil, whether graphic novels, magazines, fanzines or independent publications. History Edson Diogo, creator of Guia dos Quadrinhos, was responsible for the "price guide" section of the Brazilian edition of Wizard magazine in 1990s. The difficulty of obtaining reliable information about Brazilian comics at the time inspired him to create the database. The first version of Guia dos Quadrinhos was aired in 2006 and was updated manually by Diogo after receiving information sent by readers to him. In 2007, after suggestion of journalist Ricardo Soneto, the project became a collaborative database and had its official release. Cocoricó
Cocoricó is a Brazilian children's puppet show aired on TV Cultura, which premiered on the day April 10, 1996. The character Júlio was originally derived from a Christmas special that aired in 1989 called "Banho de Aventura" (Adventure Bath) on the program Rá-Tim-Bum. When Cocoricó debuted in the 90s, the program had a similar format to Glub Glub featuring short European animated series like Pingu and Fireman Sam interspersed with simple stories featuring the puppet characters, however some special episodes debuting new characters were made. The production of the show was done until 2001, when the production team started to work in Ilha Rá-Tim-Bum. O Menino Maluquinho (''The Nutty Boy'') is a comic book and comic strip series created by Brazilian writer and cartoonist Ziraldo. It was based on the eponymous children's book published in 1980 which for many years was regarded as a classic of children's literature in Brazil, getting spun off into movies, plays and TV series. The comic books were published by Abril and Globo from 1989 until 2007. It was Ziraldo's second series of comic books, after "Turma do Pererê". The main character, "Maluquinho" is a cheerful and optimistic 10-year-old boy who wears a pan on his head like a hat. Most of the stories revolve around the misadventures of Maluquinho and his friends with a light humour. ''Monica's Gang'' or ''Monica and Friends'' (Portuguese: ''Turma da Mônica''; British English: ''Monica & Friends'') is a Brazilian comic book series and media franchise created by Mauricio de Sousa. Emília, also known as the Marchioness of Rabicó or Emília, A Boneca Gente ("The Human Doll") is a fictional character and a titular of the '' Sítio do Picapau Amarelo'' series of fantasy novels written by Brazilian author Monteiro Lobato. A doll with a rough, antagonistic personality and an independent, anarchist behaviour, Emília is Lobato's most popular creation alongside Jeca Tatu and, according to studies and analyses of his work, she is his personification in the stories and that, towards the character, Lobato expresses his own ideas.
