Séamus Power (golfer)
Séamus Power (born 4 March 1987) is an Irish professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. His notable achievements include winning the 2021 Barbasol Championship and the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Early life and amateur career Power was born in Waterford, Ireland. He played college golf at East Tennessee State University where he won five times including the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in 2007 and 2010. Professional career After graduating from ETSU, Power played on mini-tours while attempting to qualify for the Web.com Tour. He won two events on the eGolf Professional Tour in 2014 and earned his Web.com Tour card for 2015 through qualifying school. Pat Doyle (golfer)
Patrick Joseph Doyle (10 March 1889 – 29 March 1971) was an Irish professional golfer who played during the early 20th century. Doyle finished in tenth place in the 1913 U.S. Open. Doyle was a frequent competitor in the PGA Championship. He posted particularly good results in the 1926 and 1928 PGA Championships. In the 1926 tournament, he lost to Walter Hagen by the score of 6 and 5 in the quarter-finals. Early life Patrick Doyle was born in Kindlestown Upper, County Wicklow, Ireland, outside of Dublin. Jonathan Randolph (born August 10, 1988) is an American professional golfer. Randolph was an All-American at the University of Mississippi. After turning pro in 2011, he played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour until earning a 2014 Web.com Tour card through Q School. He had four top-five finishes on the Web.com Tour in 2014 and finished 16th on the regular-season money list, earning a PGA Tour card for 2015. William Cody Gribble (born September 20, 1990) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour. Early years Gribble was born in Dallas, Texas. The 2022–23 PGA Tour is the 108th season of the PGA Tour, and the 56th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 15, 2022. The 2023 FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin on August 10, and conclude on August 27, 2023. It is intended that the 2022–23 season will be the final season with the current wraparound format (that started in 2013). The tour plans to return to a traditional calendar-year format starting in 2024. The 2020–21 PGA Tour was the 106th season of the PGA Tour, and the 54th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 10, 2020. The 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs began on August 19, and concluded on September 5, 2021. Because of rescheduling during the 2019–20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, six major championships occurred during the timeframe of the 2020–21 season, with two editions of both the U.S. Open and Masters Tournament, as well as the 2020 Summer Olympics. As such, the PGA Tour marketed this season as a "super season". By winning the Tour Championship, Patrick Cantlay became the FedEx Cup champion. Thomas Detry (born 13 January 1993) is a Belgian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and PGA Tour. He was a highly ranked amateur golfer before turning professional. In his first professional win at the Bridgestone Challenge, he set Challenge Tour records for largest margin of victory and tied for lowest score under-par with Ivó Giner. Early life Detry was born in 1993 in Uccle, Belgium south of Brussels. He started playing golf when he was 5, but also played tennis and lawn hockey. The 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play was the 23rd WGC Match Play, played March 23–27 at Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas. The tournament was won by 2021 runner-up Scottie Scheffler, who defeated Kevin Kisner 4 and 3 in the final. With the win, Scheffler's third in his last five starts, he rose to number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time. Corey Conners beat Dustin Johnson 3 and 1 in the consolation match to claim third place. Format The 64 players were placed into four seeded pools, the 16 highest ranked players as of March 21 in Pool A, the next 16 in Pool B, etc. The top seeds (Pool A) are placed into 16 groups in order, with the groups completed by means of a random draw of one player from each of the remaining pools. It has been contested at the Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii, since the event's modern-day inception as the Hawaiian Open in November 1965.
