São Paulo Air Force Base
Base Aérea de São Paulo – BASP is a Military base, base of the Brazilian Air Force, located in Guarulhos, Brazil. It shares some facilities with São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport, Gov. André Franco Montoro International Airport. History São Paulo Air Force Base was created on 22 May 1941 by Decree 3,302 at Campo de Marte Airport. On 26 January 1945 the base was transferred to its present location, then called Cumbica Farm. Units Since January 2017 there are no permanent flying units assigned to São Paulo Air Force Base. Whenever needed, the aerodrome is used as a support facility to other air units of the Brazilian Air Force, Navy and Army. Guarulhos
Guarulhos () is a Brazilian municipality. It is the second most populous city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, the 13th most populous city in Brazil, and is also the most populous city in the country that is not a state capital. Colonel

São Paulo/Guarulhos – Governor André Franco Montoro International Airport is the primary international airport serving São Paulo. It is popularly known locally as either ''Cumbica Airport'', after the district where it is located and the Brazilian Air Force base that exists at the airport complex, or Guarulhos Airport, after the municipality of Guarulhos, in the São Paulo metropolitan area, where it is located. Since November 28, 2001, the airport has been named after André Franco Montoro (1916–1999), former Governor of São Paulo state. The airport was rebranded as GRU Airport in 2012. Campo De Marte Airport
Campo de Marte Airport is the first airport built in São Paulo, Brazil, opened in 1929. It is named after Champ de Mars, in Paris, which in turn got its name from Campus Martius, in Rome. During a transitional period, the airport is jointly operated by Infraero and XP Inc. History Campo de Marte was the first airport built in São Paulo, officially opened on July 26, 1929. The airport was bombarded during the 1932 Constitutionalist Revolution. On 12 November 1933 a ceremony marking the start-up of scheduled flights of VASP took place at the airport. The first two routes linked Campo de Marte to São Carlos and São José do Rio Preto, and to Ribeirão Preto and Uberaba.
