Sárospatak District
Sárospatak ( hu, Sárospataki járás) is a district in north-eastern part of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County. ''Sárospatak'' is also the name of the town where the district seat is found. The district is located in the Northern Hungary Statistical Region. Geography Sárospatak District borders with Sátoraljaújhely District to the north, Cigánd District to the east, Ibrány District and Nyíregyháza District ''(Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County)'' to the south, Tokaj District and Gönc District to the west. The number of the inhabited places in Sárospatak District is 16. Municipalities The district has 1 town and 15 villages. Districts of Hungary are the second-level divisions of Hungary after counties. They replaced the 175 subregions of Hungary in 2013. Altogether, there are 174 districts in the 19 counties, and there are 23 districts in Budapest.
