Szabolcs Szöllősi
Szabolcs Szöllősi (; born 28 January 1989) is a Hungarian handballer for Dabas KK and the Hungarian national team. Early years Szöllősi initially went to a sports school where he practiced football. Later he switched to water polo and even participated in the students' national championship. He first tried handball when he was in the eighth grade and since then it has been his only sport. Szöllősi learned the basics of handball by Békéscsabai BDSK (2003–2005) and was soon spotted by major domestic teams, including KC Veszprém, of whom offer he accepted in 2005. Career Club In his first period in the Veszprém youth team Szöllősi played either as a playmaker or a back and only moved to line player position while in the first team. He made his league debut in October 2007 against Gyöngyösi KK, however, due to the lack of playing minutes he decided to leave at the end of the season and eventually switched to recently promoted Csurgói KK. 2012 European Men's Handball Championship
The 2012 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the men's continental handball tournament, which was held in Serbia between 15 and 29 January 2012. Sixteen teams qualified for the event, including host nation Serbia, defending champion France and fourteen national teams through the qualifying tournament. The teams were split into four groups of 4, with the top 3 teams of each group advancing to the main round, carrying the points won against other qualified opponents. Szandra Szöllősi-Zácsik
Szandra Szöllősi-Zácsik (born 22 April 1990) is a Hungarian handballer for Ferencvárosi TC and the Hungarian national team. Career Club Born in Komárno into an ethnic Hungarian family, Zácsik made her senior debut for Váci NKSE at the age of 14. Her talent was spotted early and was traced by both Győri ETO KC and Ferencvárosi TC. Finally, in 2006, Ferencváros secured her services. During her spell at the club she won all color of medals in the Hungarian championship and added a Hungarian cup silver to her success list as well. In 2009, she moved to Slovenian EHF Champions League outfit RK Krim, but her recurrent shoulder injury hampered her to settle in the area, and on 27 April 2010 it was reported that she is leaving Krim and going to re-join Ferencváros in summer 2011. 2013 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2013 World Men's Handball Championship was the 23rd World Men's Handball Championship, an international handball tournament that took place in Spain from 11 to 27 January 2013. This was the first time Spain hosted the World Men's Handball Championship, becoming the twelfth country to host the competition. Spain won the title, beating Denmark in the final 35–19. It was Denmark's second final in a row. Venues Games in Madrid were scheduled to be played in the Madrid Arena but on 1 November 2012, five young people were killed in a human stampede during a Halloween party. Handball At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's handball tournament at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 28 July to 12 August at the Olympic Park. The group stage matches were held at the Copper Box and the knockout rounds took place at the larger Basketball Arena. Twelve nations were represented in the tournament. The four best teams from each group advanced to a quarter-final round, while the 5th and 6th teams in each group were classified 9th–12th by the results of their group matches. Unlike in previous Olympics there was no placement matches involving the losing teams of the quarter-finals. Gábor Császár (born 16 June 1984) is a former Hungarian handball player. He made his full international debut on 17 January 2004 against Saudi Arabia. Just a few days later he was selected for the squad that represented Hungary on the 2004 European Championship. He participated on further six European Championships (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018) and was also present on six World Championships (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2019). The Spain national handball team is governed by the Royal Spanish Handball Federation.
