	Synnöve Solbakken (1934 Film) ''Synnöve Solbakken'' is a Swedish drama film from 1934 directed by Tancred Ibsen. The film script was written by Ibsen and Torsten Flodén. It is based on Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's 1857 novel '' Synnøve Solbakken''. The film was shot at Irefilm's studios in Stockholm, and the outdoor scenes were shot in Vågå. ''Synnöve Solbakken'' premiered on October 22, 1934, at the Skandia cinema in Stockholm. The novel was adapted for film two other times in Sweden, in 1919 and in 1957. Plot Torbjörn and Synnöve are two children living in the same valley. Synnöve's mother does not like them playing with each other because Torbjörn's grandfather drinks. They have both now grown up. 	Tancred Ibsen Tancred Ibsen (11 July 1893 – 4 December 1978) was a Norwegian military officer, aviator, film director and screenwriter. Background Ibsen was the son of Sigurd Ibsen and Bergljot Bjørnson. He was the grandson of both Henrik Ibsen and Nobel laureate Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. He married dancer and actress Lillebil Ibsen in 1919, and remained married to her until his death in 1978. His son Tancred Ibsen, Jr. (1921–2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. Aviation career In 1917, Tancred Ibsen started pilot training at Kjeller Airport and began his career in the Norwegian Army Air Service. He started the first civilian active airplane company, ''A/S Aero'' in 1920, financed by his uncle, businessman Einar Bjørnson, and two shipowners. The company successfully operated demonstration, advertising, and limited mail flights with Ibsen as the head pilot. 	Randi Brænne Randi Brænne (26 May 1911 – 1 June 2004) was a Norwegian actress. She was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was a daughter of Sigmund Brænne and Bodil Winge and was a sister of actress and writer Berit Brænne (1918–1976). Randi Brænne was married to two acting colleagues; Frithjof Fearnley (1896–1971) and Frank Robert (1918–2007). She made her stage debut at Det Nye Teater in 1934. She performed at various theatres including Den Nationale Scene, Trøndelag Teater, Centralteatret, Riksteatret and Seniorteatret. 	Justus Hagman Carl Justus Hagman (14 February 1859 – 28 February 1936) was a Swedish actor. Hagman made his stage debut in 1876 and made his first appearance in a film in 1913 in the Victor Sjöström film '' Miraklet''. He performed in another thirty films until 1935. Between 1882 and 1885 Hagman was an employee of the Svenska teatern in Helsingfors, he also worked at the Storåteatern, Vasateatern and the Albert Ranft Teatern and Södra Teatern.
