Sylvia Ruuska
Sylvia Eliina Ruuska (July 4, 1942 – February 7, 2019) was an American former competition swimmer, Olympic medalist and former world record-holder in two events. She captured a silver medal by swimming for the second-place U.S. team in the women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay. Individually, she also received a bronze medal for her third-place finish in the women's 400-meter freestyle. International Swimming Hall Of Fame
The International Swimming Hall of Fame and Museum (ISHOF) is a history museum and hall of fame, located at One Hall of Fame Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States, operated by private interests and serving as the central point for the study of the history of swimming in the United States and around the world. Exhibits include ancient art and both reproductions and original art depicting famous moments in swimming history (from ancient times to modern), swimwear, and civil rights, as well as memorabilia and artifacts belonging to persons who have promoted or excelled in aquatics. Becky Collins
Rebecca Collins (born 1944) is a retired American swimmer. On July 20, 1958, she set a new world record in the individual 200 m medley. One year later, on July 19, 1959, she broke the world record of Tineke Lagerberg in the 200 m butterfly. She lost that record to Marianne Heemskerk in 1960, but took it back in 1961. She was also part of the US relay team that set a new world record in the 4×100 m medley at the 1959 Pan American Games. She won another gold medal at those games, in the 100 m butterfly. Between 1959 and 1961 she won seven national titles in individual butterfly and medley events. After marriage she changed her last name to Furst.
