Sylhet Cadet College ( bn, সিলেট ক্যাডেট কলেজ) is a military high school for boys (Grade VII - XII) situated in Sylhet City, east to the Osmani Air Port Road, beside Parjatan hotel of Sylhet. History When Bangladesh (as East Pakistan) was part of Pakistan, Pakistan Army established some cadet colleges in West Pakistan (now Pakistan) and four cadet colleges in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in the form of British Public Schools. After the liberation war, Bangladesh Army established eight more cadet colleges (among them Mymensingh Girls Cadet College 1983, Joypurhat Girls Cadet College 2006, Feni Girls Cadet College 2006 had been established for girls). Sylhet Cadet College is the first cadet college established after the liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. It was established in Pakistan as a model school in 1969. Hazrat Shah Jalal
Jalāl Mujarrad Kunyāʾī (), popularly known as Shah Jalal, was a celebrated Sufi figure of Bengal. His name is often associated with the Conquest of Sylhet and the spread of Islam into the region, part of a long history of interactions between the Middle East, Turkestan, and South Asia. Various complexes and religious places have been named after him, including the largest airport in Bangladesh, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Birthplace and origin Jalal was said to have been born on 25 May 1271.
