Syed Ali Akhtar Rizvi
Syed Ali Akhtar Rizvi (19 September 1948 – 10 February 2002), widely known as Adeeb-e-Asr and Allamah Shaoor, was an Indian Twelver Shī'ah scholar, public speaker, translator, and historian as well as an author and poet. He authored and translated many Islamic books and also wrote many articles and poems. He received the title "Adeeb-e-Asr" ("Writer of the era") from Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi during the tour of Iran in 1990. Biography Early life and education Syed Ali Akhtar Rizvi was born at Gopalpur, Siwan district, Bihar state, India on 19 September 1948. His father was Syed Mazhar Hussain Rizvi. At the age of three, his father died and he was brought up by his mother. It was his mother's ambitions that lead him towards Islamic studies so he joined Jamia Nazmia and stayed in Madrasatul Waizeen. Ansariyan Publications is a private publisher located at Qom, Islamic Republic of Iran. The publication house is under the leadership of Mohammad Taghi Ansariyan. It started in 1352 in the Persian calendar, 1974 CE. Shia Scholars Of Islam
Shīʿa Islam or Shīʿīsm is the second-largest branch of Islam. It holds that the Islamic prophet Muhammad designated ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib as his successor (''khalīfa'') and the Imam (spiritual and political leader) after him, most notably at the event of Ghadir Khumm, but was prevented from succeeding Muhammad as the leader of the Muslims as a result of the choice made by some of Muhammad's other companions (''ṣaḥāba'') at Saqifah. Twelvers
Twelver Shīʿīsm ( ar, ٱثْنَا عَشَرِيَّة; '), also known as Imāmīyyah ( ar, إِمَامِيَّة), is the largest branch of Shīʿa Islam, comprising about 85 percent of all Shīʿa Muslims. The term ''Twelver'' refers to its adherents' belief in twelve divinely ordained leaders, known as the Twelve Imams, and their belief that the last Imam, Imam al-Mahdi, lives in Occultation and will reappear as ''The promised Mahdi'' ( ar, المهدي المنتظر). According to the Shīʿa tradition, the Mahdi's tenure will coincide with the Second Coming of Jesus (ʿĪsā), who, along with Mahdi, would kill the Dajjal. Shi'a Clergy
In Shi'a Islam the guidance of clergy and keeping such a structure holds a great importance. The clergy structure depends on the branch of Shi'ism is being referred to. Twelver Usooli and Akhbari Shia Twelver Muslims believe that the study of Islamic literature is a continual process, and is necessary for identifying all of God's laws. Twelver Shia Muslims believe that the process of finding God's laws from the available Islamic literature will facilitate in dealing with any circumstance. They believe that they can interpret the Qur'an and the Twelver Shi'a traditions with the same authority as their predecessors. This process of ijtihad has provided a means to deal with current issues from an Islamic perspective.
