Sydney Pickrem
Sydney Pickrem (born May 21, 1997) is a Canadian competitive swimmer. Pickrem won a bronze medal in the 400m individual medley at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. At the 2015 Pan American Games, she won a silver in the 400m and bronze in the 200m individual medleys. Pickrem won her first international medal competing at the 2013 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Dubai, winning the bronze in the 200m individual medley. Career Sydney Pickrem made her first senior national team in 2014, winning bronze medals in the 200m and 400m individual medley at Canadian Swimming Trials to earn spots at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2014 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. Pickrem, who specializes in the breaststroke and individual medley, was selected to the 2012 Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. 2018 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships
The 2018 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50 m) event, was held in Tokyo, Japan, from 9 to 14 August 2018. Qualifying criteria Unlike the World Championships and Olympic Games, nations can enter as many people as they like in the preliminaries of each event (in most international meets, only two swimmers from each nation are permitted). However, only two swimmers per nation can qualify for the semi-finals and finals. Prior to FINA's creation of semi-finals in the late 1990s, a total of 3 swimmers per country could qualify for the final and consolation heats of an event, with no more than 2 swimmers per country in a final or consolation. For relays, each country may enter up to one team in each relay event to swim in the final heat and count toward the team score. Swimming At The 2015 Pan American Games
Swimming competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto will be held from July 14 to 18 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House). Due to naming rights the arena will be known as the latter for the duration of the games. Due to Pan American Games being scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, the swimming events were condensed into a five-day schedule.
