Evan Lee (baseball)
Evan Lee (born June 18, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Washington Nationals organization. He made his MLB debut in 2022. Career Lee was a two-way player at the University of Arkansas, playing in the outfield and pitching. He was a draft-eligible sophomore when he was selected by the Nationals in the 15th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft as a left-handed pitcher. Lee chose to sign with the Nationals, turning pro. Lee was selected to participate in the Arizona Fall League in 2021, pitching in relief for the Surprise Saguaros. The Nationals added him to their 40-man roster after the season. He made his major league debut as a spot starter against the New York Mets on June 1, 2022. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). The Washington Nationals are an American professional baseball team based in Washington, D.C.. They compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the National League (NL) East division.
