Sydney Olympic Park Bus Routes
The Sydney Olympic Park bus routes operate from various places in Sydney to Sydney Olympic Park when significant cultural or sporting events are held at the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. History As part of its winning bid for the 2000 Olympic Games, a new complex was built. Only minimal car parking was provided, with it intended that most patrons traveling to the complex would use public transport. Included was a railway line but this still left parts of Sydney without direct access. To address this, a series of bus routes were devised. These services commenced in 1998 in conjunction with the Sydney Royal Easter Show moving from Moore Park to the Olympic venue. With a few adjustments, these remain today. Transdev John Holland
Transdev John Holland Buses is a bus operator in Sydney, Australia. A joint venture between Transdev and John Holland, it operates services in Sydney Bus Region 9 in the Eastern Suburbs under contract to Transport for NSW. It is a separate company to Transdev NSW, wholly owned by Transdev, which operates buses in other regions of Sydney. 2000 Summer Olympics
The 2000 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXVII Olympiad and also known as Sydney 2000 (Dharug: ''Gadigal 2000''), the Millennium Olympic Games or the Games of the New Millennium, was an international multi-sport event held from 15 September to 1 October 2000 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Bexley, New South Wales
Bexley is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Bexley is located south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Bayside Council and is part of the St George area. History James Chandler named the suburb after his birthplace, Bexley which is in the south-east of London, England. Chandler bought Sylvester’s Farm in 1822, from Thomas Sylvester who had been granted the land about ten years earlier. Mona Vale, New South Wales
Mona Vale is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 28 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in an area known as the Northern Beaches. Formerly the administrative centre of Pittwater Council, it is now located in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council. The traditional custodians of the area are the Garigal people. The State of Origin series is an annual best-of-three rugby league series between two Australian state representative sides, the New South Wales Blues and the Queensland Maroons.
