Sydney Metropolitan Women's Rugby League
The Sydney Metropolitan Women's Rugby League was the premier Women's rugby league competition in the state of New South Wales, Australia. In 2017, the competition became known as the NSWRL Women's Premiership. The New South Wales Rugby League also administer open age women's and age group girls' competitions that sit below the NSWRL Women's Premiership. Within the Sydney Metropolitan region, there are several conferences. History A regular women's rugby league competition was started in Sydney in the 1990s. This competition folded after the conclusion of the 2001 season. The Sydney Metropolitan Women's Rugby League restarted a competition in 2005. A meeting in March 2005 at the PCYC in Miller, south west of Sydney was the catalyst to get the women's competition up and running again. The Harvey Norman Women's Premiership is a rugby league competition for clubs in New South Wales. It is the only state wide open age competition for women in New South Wales and is run by New South Wales Rugby League. The NSWRL Women's Premiership started in 2005 as Sydney Metropolitan Women's Rugby League after the former competition folded in 2001. Mount Pritchard Mounties
The Mounties Rugby League Football Club (sponsored by Mounties Group) is an Australian rugby league football club based in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales formed in 1927. They currently play in the NSW Cup, Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield. Mounties are the current second feeder club side for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Recent Seasons 2015 In 2015, Mounties defeated the Asquith Magpies to win the Ron Massey Cup 30–14. 2016 Mounties achieved a rare feet in 2016 by having all 3 grades NSW Cup, Ron Massey Cup and the Sydney Shield finish first in the regular season and win the minor premiership. Canley Heights Dragons
Canley is a suburban neighbourhood located in CV4, south-west Coventry, England. Canley became part of Coventry as a result of successive encroachment of the latter's boundaries between 1928 and 1932, having historically been part of the Stoneleigh parish. Electorally, it is largely in Westwood ward and partially within the Wainbody and Earlsdon wards. The area is home to many students attending the nearby University of Warwick. There was a level crossing adjacent to Canley railway station until 2003, when the road was closed and a foot bridge was built over the railway. Sydney Bulls
The Sydney Bulls were a rugby league team based in the suburb of Bass Hill in south-western Sydney. Founded in 1999, the club was formed by Lebanese-Australian players and businessmen who were involved in the 1997 Lebanon Rugby League World Sevens side. Since 2000, the Bulls competed in the semi-professional Metropolitan Cup and, since its inception in 2003, the NSWRL Jim Beam Cup competition in NSW, Australia. The Sydney Combined Competition (SCC) formerly Inner City Combined Competition (ICCC) is an amateur rugby league competition for both senior and junior rugby league clubs in the St. George, Canterbury-Bankstown, Balmain, Western Suburbs and Eastern Suburbs areas of Sydney. Windsor Wolves
The Windsor Wolves are a rugby league team based in the town of Windsor, New South Wales. The club fields both junior and senior teams in the Penrith District Rugby League competitions. The club has fielded teams in semi-professional, New South Wales Rugby League competitions. In March 2020 the club re-entered the third-tier Ron Massey Cup and fourth-tier Sydney Shield competitions. These competitions were cancelled after one round of matches due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. When the Sydney Shield was reorganised for a restart in July 2020, Windsor did not participate. Guildford Owls
The Guildford Owls are a rugby league club based in Guildford, New South Wales, Australia. They have previously competed in the Ron Massey Cup, the Sydney Shield and have also competed in the Sydney Metropolitan Women's Rugby League. History Guildford were founded in 1953 although the leagues club at Guildford was founded much earlier in the 1920s. Guildford have spent much of their existence playing in the lower leagues of the New South Wales Rugby League competitions. East Campbelltown Eagles are an Australian Junior Rugby League Club that also supports a semi-professional rugby league team. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney.
