''Switzerland'' is the title of the third album by Detroit rock band Electric Six. The album consists of thirteen new tracks. The band commented that: A music video for the song "I Buy the Drugs" was recorded on July 1, 2006 and was released on their MySpace site in early August. A digital download of the track followed on August 15, 2006. The album was released on September 12, 2006 in the United States and was followed by releases in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. Electric Six
Electric Six is a six-piece American rock band formed in 1996 in Detroit, Michigan. Their music was described by AllMusic as a combination of garage, disco, punk rock, new wave, and metal. The band achieved recognition in 2003 with the singles "Danger! High Voltage" and "Gay Bar", and have since released 14 studio albums, two rarities albums, and one live album. A live DVD, ''Absolute Treasure'', was released in 2014. The current lineup of the band consists of vocalist Dick Valentine, lead guitarist , keyboardist Tait Nucleus?, rhythm guitarist Da Vé, bassist Rob Lower and drummer Todd Glass. Live drummer Hyperkube Bonanza has filled in for Glass on most tours since 2016. Midnight Juggernauts
Midnight Juggernauts were an Australian band from Melbourne, composed of Andrew Szekeres, Vincent Vendetta (Vincent Heimann), and Daniel Stricker. The band has been described as anything from 'prog dance meets cosmic film scores', to 'slasher-flick disco' to 'deadpan landscape'. Following the release of numerous 7" and 12" singles, and limited edition EPs, the band released their debut album, ''Dystopia''. ''You're Welcome!'' is a double-album by Electric Six with disc one being the band's fifteenth studio album, composed entirely of cover songs (a sequel to their previous covers album ''Mimicry''), and disc two consisting of the live performance given by the band at the Oxford O2 Academy on 22 April 2017. It was funded through a Kickstarter campaign and self-released directly to the campaign's backers. Production The band launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $30,000 in order to fund the album. It was successful with a total of $77,000 being raised. One specific pledge reward as part of the Kickstarter campaign was to choose a song to be covered on the album. ''Roulette Stars of Metro Detroit'' is an American mockumentary film starring members of the rock band Electric Six as fictional versions of themselves. The film was written by lead singer Dick Valentine and was crowd-sourced through a Kickstarter campaign. Cast * Dick Valentine as himself * Da Ve as himself * as himself * Tait Nucleus? as himself * Mike Alonso as himself Production The project was originally pitched on Kickstarter as a spoof 45-minute pilot for a documentary TV series following fictionalised backstories and exploits of the members of the band. A $30,000 goal was set which was soon reached and surpassed. A total of $63,243 was raised by the end of the campaign. The mockumentary features cameos from some backers of the project on Kickstarter who pledged to be given a role in the film.
