Manuel Mijares
Manuel Mijares () (born José Manuel Mijares Morán, 7 February 1958 in Mexico City) is an adult-contemporary pop singer who is billed simply as "Mijares". He began his career at age 23 and achieved high popularity from the mid-80s to mid 90s in Latin America and Japan mainly. From 1997 to 2011 he was married to Mexican singer/actress Lucero, with whom he has two children. Biography He was born in Hospital Español in Mexico City. His mother was a dance teacher and he names her as an artistic influence. As a child, he was part of the elementary school chorus. He later formed musical groups with friends. El Tri is a Mexican rock band from Mexico City fronted by Alex Lora. It is a spinoff of Three Souls in My Mind, formed in 1968. The group is regarded as influential in the development of Mexican rock music. The didgeridoo (; also spelt didjeridu, among other variants) is a wind instrument, played with vibrating lips to produce a continuous drone while using a special breathing technique called circular breathing. Enanitos Verdes (literal translation: "Little green dwarves", roughly equivalent to the English phrase "Little green men") is a rock trio from Argentina, formed in 1979 in the city of Mendoza. History The band started in 1979, with Marciano Cantero (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals), Felipe Staiti (guitar) and Daniel Piccolo drums. That same year, they performed throughout the Cuyo region. Later they traveled to Buenos Aires to record a demo, with unusable results that were never released. In spite of this failure, they continued doing shows in Mendoza and in Buenos Aires. In 1984 the band added two new members: Sergio Embrioni (guitar and vocals) and Tito Dávila (keyboard). Caifanes
Caifanes is a rock band from Mexico City. Formed in 1987, the group achieved international fame during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original line-up was Saúl Hernández (vocals and guitar), Sabo Romo (bass guitar), (drums) and Diego Herrera (keyboards and saxophone). Alejandro Marcovich later joined as lead guitar player. Caifanes' style can be described as a hybrid of British new wave, progressive rock and Latin percussion underscored by deep, somber and Latin American-Mexican-Spanish-influenced lyrics and the vocal style of Saúl Hernández. Nacha Pop was a Spanish pop/rock group active from 1978 to 1988. The band was formed by Antonio Vega and Nacho García Vega (guitars and vocals), Carlos Brooking (bass) and Ñete (drums). They signed with Spanish EMI subsidiary Hispavox in 1980, and their debut album was produced by Teddy Bautista. Several albums followed, including 1987's ''El Momento'', which was produced by Carlos Narea. Their final concerts took place on October 19 and 20, 1988, after which the group disbanded. Miguel Ángel Mateos Sorrentino (born January 26, 1954) is an Argentine rock singer-songwriter from Villa Pueyrredón, Argentina.
