Sandwell Aquatics Centre
Sandwell Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility located in Londonderry, Smethwick, West Midlands, England. It contains an Olympic-size swimming pool (one of only two in the West Midlands region), a 10-metre diving board with 25 metre pool (the only one in the whole of the Midlands), a community swimming pool and permanent seating for 1,000 spectators with an additional 4,000 seats during the Games. Construction began in January 2020 and opened on 12th April 2022 to mark 100 days until the start of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The centre was initially used for the 2022 Commonwealth Games and was the only venue constructed for the games. After the games, the centre is scheduled to be redeveloped and will officially open for public use in May 2023 when it will be operated by the Sandwell Leisure Trust. Dylan Carter (born 30 January 1996) is a Trinidad and Tobago competitive swimmer. He is the Trinidad and Tobago record holder in the long course and short course 100 metre freestyle, 50 metre backstroke, 100 metre backstroke, 50 metre butterfly, and 100 metre butterfly. At the 2021 World Short Course Championships, he became the first swimmer representing Trinidad and Tobago to win a silver medal a World Short Course Championships, winning the silver medal in the 50 metre butterfly. In 2018 and 2022, he won the bronze medal in the 50 metre butterfly and the 50 metre freestyle at the World Short Course Championships, respectively. Joe Litchfield (born 8 July 1998) is a British swimmer. He has won gold medals as part of a team at the European Championship, and a team bronze at the World Championship. His older brother Max Litchfield is also a swimmer. Career He competed in the men's 100 metre backstroke event at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships, in Budapest, Hungary. Quah Zheng Wen
Quah Zheng Wen (; born 29 September 1996) is a Singaporean professional swimmer who specialises in individual medley, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle events. Education Quah was educated at Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and had achieved 43 points out of a possible 45 for his IB Diploma. After completed his IB Diploma Programme, Quah was accepted into the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, but chose to defer his studies. He subsequently went on to enrol at the University of California, Berkeley in 2017, before graduating in 2021. Swimming career In June 2012, he set a national record in the 200 m individual medley. He first represented his country at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships, and won a bronze medal in the 50 m butterfly at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Srihari Nataraj (born 16 January 2001) is an Indian swimmer. He represented India at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. He qualified for Tokyo Summer Olympics after FINA approved his 'A' standard qualification time in men's 100m backstroke time trial at the Sette Colli Trophy in Rome.
