The Swimming competition of the 25th Summer Universiade was held at the Tašmajdan Sports Centre in Belgrade, Serbia, 5–11 July 2009. All events were contested in a long course (50m) pool.XXV Universiade results

Chad La Tourette
Chad La Tourette (born October 7, 1988 in Livermore, California) is an American former distance swimmer. La Tourette is a six-time medalist (three golds, three silvers) at the World University Games and two-time silver medalist at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships. Career At the 2010 National Championships, La Tourette competed in the 400 and 1500 m freestyle. In the 400 m freestyle, La Tourette finished in 4th place. In the 1500 m freestyle, La Tourette handily won with a time of 14:55.39 with his closest competitor eight seconds back. At the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, La Tourette won two silver medals behind Canadian swimmer Ryan Cochrane. In the 1500 m freestyle, La Tourette finished with a time of 14:54.48, five seconds behind the eventual winner Cochrane. Fabio Scozzoli
Fabio Scozzoli (born 8 August 1988) is an Italian swimmer. At the 2012 World Short Course Championships, he won the gold medal in the 100 metre breaststroke. He is the 2022 Mediterranean champion in the 50 metre breaststroke. Career On 25 July 2011 won the silver medal at the World Championships in Shanghai in the 100 m breaststroke, beaten by Alexander Dale Oen and in front of Cameron van der Burgh, also establishing two Italians records: in the semi-final with a time of 59.83 and in the final with a time of 59.42. Čaba Silađi ( hu, Szilágyi Csaba, sr-Cyrl, Чаба Силађи; born 23 August 1990) is a Serbian swimmer of Hungarian ethnicity. Silađi mainly competes in the breaststroke. Silađi's hometown Senta is a centre of Hungarians in Vojvodina, though competing for Serbia, Silađi goes by the Serbian form of his name. His name also appears transliterated as Caba Siladji in English sports sources. Career Silađi finished elementary school and gymnasium in Bečej. He began to practice swimming since 1997, and until 2004 he also trained water polo alongside. He lives and trains in Zrenjanin. Felipe Alves França da Silva (born 14 May 1987) is a Brazilian breaststroke swimmer, who competed for his country in three Olympic Games.
