Federico Zwanck (born 1 March 1934) is an Argentine former freestyle swimmer. In the National Championships of Argentina in 1952, he was victorious in the 200m, 400m and 800m. He competed in three events at the 1952 Summer Olympics. In 1955, he competed in the Pan American Games, in which he won two silver medals, one in medley and another in freestyle. In September 1956, he and his teammates achieved the South American record for 4x200 freestyle. It was then planned that he competed in the Olympic Games in Melbourne 1956, but the political situation did not allow it. He and his teammates had received presents from ex-president Juan Perón and the new government did not permit their participation. William Yorzyk
William Albert Yorzyk Jr. (May 29, 1933 – September 2, 2020) was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and one-time world record-holder. Yorzyk represented the United States at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia.Sports-Reference.com, Olympic Sports, Athletes Bill Yorzyk Retrieved March 21, 2013. He was the first swimmer to win the gold medal in the new 200-meter butterfly event, finishing with a time of 2:19.3 in the final. Yorzyk continued to swim competitively while he attended medical school at the University of Toronto. Yorzyk served as a physician in the United States Air Force Medical Corps and was commissioned a captain. He won the U.S. AAU indoor championship in the 220-yard butterfly in 1958. He was awarded the university's Bickle Prize as its outstanding student-athlete in 1958 and 1959. Yorzyk was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame as an "Honor Swimmer" in 1971.
