An album is a collection of audio recordings issued on compact disc (CD), Phonograph record, vinyl, audio tape, or another medium such as Digital distribution#Music, digital distribution. Albums of recorded sound were developed in the early 20th century as individual Phonograph record#78 rpm disc developments, 78 rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl LP record, long-playing (LP) records played at revolutions per minute, rpm. The album was the dominant form of recorded music expression and consumption from the mid-1960s to the early 21st century, a period known as the album era. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though album sales in the 21st-century have mostly focused on CD and MP3 formats. Heather Myles
Heather Myles (born July 31, 1962) is an American country music singer, with a honky tonk Bakersfield sound. Early life Myles was born in Riverside, California, United States, where her parents bred and trained horses for racing. Heather had a job in the family business until the lure of the honky-tonks called her away. While still in her teens, she joined a band, and within a year they had a contract with HighTone. Career Myles has released five studio albums, including two on HighTone, two on Rounder, and one on the Me and My Americana Roots label. Her 1992 debut album ''Just Like Old Times'' contained mostly original compositions, along with songs from Jim Lauderdale and Robert Cray, and was followed by ''Untamed'' in 1995. Country Music

Dwight David Yoakam (born October 23, 1956) is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and film director. He first achieved mainstream attention in 1986 with the release of his debut album '' Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc.''. Yoakam had considerable success throughout the late 1980s onward, with a total of ten studio albums for Reprise Records. Later projects have been released on Audium (now MNRK Music Group), New West, Warner, and Sugar Hill Records. Jimmy Layne Webb (born August 15, 1946) is an American songwriter, composer, and singer. He has written numerous platinum-selling songs, including " Up, Up and Away", "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "MacArthur Park", "Wichita Lineman", "Worst That Could Happen", "Galveston" and "All I Know".
