Sweden In The Eurovision Song Contest 2015
Sweden participated in and won the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Heroes" written by Linnea Deb, Joy Deb and Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad. The song was performed by Måns Zelmerlöw. The Swedish broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) organised the national final ''Melodifestivalen 2015'' in order to select the Swedish entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. Melodifestivalen 2015
Melodifestivalen 2015 was the Swedish music competition that selected Sweden's 55th entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Måns Zelmerlöw won with the song "Heroes". The hosts for the show were Sanna Nielsen (winner of Melodifestivalen 2014) and comedian Robin Paulsson. For the fourteenth consecutive year, the competition consisted of four heats, a "Second Chance" round, and a final. However, the total number of competing entries was reduced from 32 to 28. The 28 competing entries were divided into four heats, with seven compositions in each. Herreys
Herreys (), sometimes Herrey's or Herrey, is a Swedish pop group, consisting of the three brothers Per Herrey (born 9 August 1958), Richard Herrey (born 19 August 1964), and Louis Herrey (born 3 November 1966). They won the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 with the song "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley". Richard and Louis Herrey became the first teenage males to win Eurovision and remain the youngest ever male winners, being 19 years and 260 days and 18 years and 184 days of age respectively. "Undo" is a song by Swedish singer Sanna Nielsen. The track was written and composed by Fredrik Kempe, David Kreuger, Hamed "K-One" Pirouzpanah. It premiered on 8 February 2014, as part of the second semi-final in Melodifestivalen 2014. The song successfully progressed to the final. The single was officially released on 23 February 2014, part of the EP of the same title. Undo is an uptempo ballad. On 8 March, the song won the Melodifestivalen 2014 final beating Ace Wilder's " Busy Doin' Nothin'" by only two points and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in the first semifinal on 6 May. Sweden was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1999, held in Jerusalem. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1999 Melodifestivalen 1999 was the selection for the 39th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 38th time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1,315 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition, with ten songs selected to compete.
