''Swan Song'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band The Plot in You. The album was released on September 17, 2021, through Fearless Records. It was produced by Landon Tewers and Drew Fulk. Background and promotion On November 5, 2019, Landon Tewers announced on Instagram that he is working on new material for the band and his side project Ai640. It wouldn't be until the beginning of April 2020 that Tewers would go on to update the album's progress going on to state that: "...we're a little over half way done tracking the new plot record and I'm really excited to get another record out. The new shit is truly unlike anything we've ever done..". In May 2021, Tewers officially announced the album is completed. On July 29, the band officially released the new lead single "Face Me" along with its music video. The Plot In You
The Plot in You is an American rock band formed in Hancock County, Ohio in 2010. Originally a side project of former Before Their Eyes member Landon Tewers, the group is composed of Tewers, guitarist Josh Childress, bassist Ethan Yoder and drummer Michael Cooper. The Plot in You have released one EP and five studio albums. Their EP ''Wife Beater'' was released in 2010, followed by their debut studio album '' First Born'' in 2011, and second studio album '' Could You Watch Your Children Burn'' in 2013. On July 17, 2015, the band announced their signing with StaySick Recordings and '' Happiness in Self Destruction'' was released on October 16, 2015. Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. It was initially inspired by post-punk and noise rock. Like post-punk, the term has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Fearless Records
Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the ''Fearless Flush Sampler'' and ''Punk Bites'' releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. Landon Tewers
Landon Khale Tewers (born September 27, 1989) is an American musician and producer. He is a former band member of Before Their Eyes, where he was the rhythm guitarist and unclean vocalist. He is best known for being founder and the lead vocalist in the rock band The Plot in You and for his self-titled solo project. Music career Tewers joined Before Their Eyes in 2008. While in the band, he started a side project named ''Vessels'', which was later renamed to The Plot in You. He left the band in 2010, to focus on his current band. The band currently consists of Landon as vocalist, Josh Childress as guitarist, Ethan Yoder as bassist and drummer Michael Cooper. He has released 5 albums and 1 EP with The Plot in You. Drew Fulk (born May 1, 1987), also known as WZRD BLD, is an American songwriter and record producer based in Los Angeles. He has worked with artists such as Disturbed, Lil Peep, Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Kim Dracula, Highly Suspect and Illenium, and has over ten #1 Billboard Rock to his name. He also started and currently runs his own publishing company, In the Cut Publishing, through APG. ''Dispose'' (stylized in all caps) is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Plot in You. The album was released on February 16, 2018, through Fearless Records. It was produced by Landon Tewers and Drew Fulk. Background On June 15, 2017, the band announced their signing with Fearless Records, and premiered a new song "Feel Nothing". The band worked with producer Drew Fulk, the first time they've worked with an outside producer on an album. The album was officially announced on November 19, 2017. The lyrics on the album deal with singer Landon Tewers "detaching himself from a toxic relationship" and "explores the stages of said relationship".
