Swan is an Unincorporated area, unincorporated community in central Smith County, Texas, Smith County, Texas, United States. It is located on U.S. Route 69 in Texas, U.S. Highway 69, three miles north of Tyler, Texas, Tyler. According to the ''Handbook of Texas'', in "...1892 Swan had a population of 200, ten fruit growers, a blacksmith, a carpenter, two doctors, a railroad agent, three schoolteachers, three cotton gins, a general store, and a sawmill."
