Svindlande Affärer
"Svindlande affärer", written by Bengt Palmers, is a song performed by Pernilla Wahlgren for the film of the same name in 1985. The song was at Trackslistan for one week, 20th position on 3 August 1985, and Svensktoppen for 11 weeks during the period 13 October-22 December 1985. During the first three weeks, the song stayed at first position, and was the first one to top Svensktoppen when the program was restarted, after having been off-air since 13 June 1982. A ''Framåt fredag'' parody was called ''Svindlande vapenaffärer'', depicting the controversies of Swedish arms industry. Pernilla Wahlgren
Pernilla Nina Elisabeth Wahlgren (born 24 December 1967) is a Swedish singer and actress. She has sung in Melodifestivalen several times; her 1985 entry titled " Piccadilly Circus" became popular and successful. She has acted in several plays and films, playing roles including Esmeralda in the Academy Award-winning ''Fanny and Alexander''. She has twice received the Guldmasken award for her work in theater. Career Acting Wahlgren's first acting job, at the age of four, was alongside her mother in the television play ''Den längsta dagen'' (). She attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School and was also part of the Saltsjöbaden theater. After playing a small role in ''Lilla prinsen'' () at Saltsjöbaden's theater, and in the face of stiff competition, Wahlgren got the title role in the musical ''Annie'' at Folkan, Stockholm. Trackslistan
Tracks, or Trackslistan, was a top 20 song list and a program of the Sweden, Swedish Radio channel Sveriges Radio P3, SR P3. The program premiered on 8 September 1984, and was broadcast on Saturday afternoons. The listeners voted for the songs they think is the best. Track list was one of the top music charts in Sweden. The predecessor of the Tracks was "Poporama" and was broadcast between 1974 and 1984. The host for the show was Kaj Kindvall. The chart was discontinued in 2010. The three most popular artists on the chart were Kent, Madonna and Roxette. Trackslistan on television "Trackslistan" was broadcast for three seasons in the mid-2000s by Sveriges Television, SVT. There were different hosts during the seasons. In 2005, Gonzalo Del Rio was the host. An artist or a band were invited every week to perform their current song. ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. The last years before the January 2003 change, the programme was strongly dominated by dansband music. The discography of Laleh, an Iranian-born Swedish singer-songwriter contains nine studio albums and three extended plays. Laleh first appeared on Swedish charts in early 2005 with the single "Invisible (My Song)" which instantly reached the top ten in the country's chart. Until 2011, this was her only release to chart within the top ten, despite her most successful single to date in terms of sales being "Live Tomorrow", also released in 2005.
