Sverre Brodahl
Sverre Brodahl (26 January 1909 – 2 November 1998) was a Norwegian Nordic skier who competed in the 1930s. He won two medals at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with a silver in the 4 × 10 km, and a bronze in the Nordic combined. Nordic Skiing
Nordic skiing encompasses the various types of skiing in which the toe of the ski boot is fixed to the Ski binding, binding in a manner that allows the heel to rise off the ski, unlike alpine skiing, where the boot is attached to the ski from toe to heel. Recreational disciplines include cross-country skiing and Telemark skiing. Winter Olympic Games, Olympic events are Cross-country skiing (sport), competitive cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined — an event combining cross-country skiing and ski jumping.
