Svenska Cupen Damer
Svenska Cupen damer (the "Ladies Swedish Cup") is the main Sweden, Swedish women's association football knock-out tournament. A separate Svenska Cupen exists for men. Rounds and teams * First round – 44 teams (Division 1 and below) * Second round – 36 teams (22 remaining teams from Round 1 + 14 teams from Elitettan) * Third round – 32 teams (18 remaining teams from Round 2 + 14 teams from Damallsvenskan) * Fourth round – 16 teams * Fifth round – quarter finals * Sixth round – semi finals * Seventh round – final How district teams qualify There are a number of districts in the Swedish football organization, and each of them receives a number of spots in the Swedish Cup, due to how many licensed players they have. For an example, Värmlands FF receives three spots and Västergötlands FF receives seven spots. 2022–23 Svenska Cupen (women)
The 2022–23 Svenska Cupen Damer is the 40th edition of the women's association football main cup competition in Sweden. Format 44 teams from the Division 1 and below entered the first round. The winners will then join the Elitettan teams at the second round, while the Damallsvenskan teams join at the third round The qualification round starts from May and ends in February, after which the last 16 clubs would be grouped into 4 groups of 4 teams each. Calendar Below are the dates for each round as given by the official schedule: Qualification round First round 44 teams from the Division 1 and lower entered this round via their districts qualifications. GAIS (women's Department)
Göteborgs Atlet- och Idrottssällskap (meaning ''Gothenburg's Athletics and Sports Association''), commonly referred to as GAIS or Gais, is a Swedish football club based in Gothenburg. The club is affiliated to the Göteborgs Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Gamla Ullevi. Fans also refers to the club as Grönsvart (green-black) or Makrillarna (the Mackerels) because of the traditional shirt colours. GAIS is one of the oldest football clubs in Sweden. The club was a founding member of Allsvenskan and also the first champions of the league. They have won a total of four national championship titles, five league championship titles and one national cup title. Even though GAIS have played 49 seasons in Allsvenskan they only spent six years in the top division during a 30-year period from 1976 to 2005, with another six seasons of that time spent as low as the third division. Mallbackens IF is a football club from Mallbacken, 15 kilometres north of Sunne in Värmland, Sweden. The club was established in 1942 and played in the Women's premier division (Damallsvenskan) for the first time in 1986. They currently play in Sweden's second division, the Elitettan.
