Suzuki Boulevard C109R
The Suzuki Boulevard C109R motorcycle was introduced in 2008 as Suzuki's V-Twin Cruiser. The same model is sold in Europe as the Suzuki Intruder C1800R. The engine is a , four-valve DOHC, 54-degree, liquid-cooled, fuel injected V-twin. Each bore is lined with Suzuki's SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) to aid heat transfer, improve piston-to-cylinder clearances and reduce weight. The engine has electronic fuel injection system with 52 mm throttle bodies and dual spark plugs. The transmission is five speed. The Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC and Boulevard C90 are cruiser motorcycles with a feet-forward riding posture, shaft drive and engine balance shafts made by Suzuki from 1998 to 2004 as the Intruder, and since 2005 as the Boulevard. The Suzuki Boulevard C50 (VL800) is a cruiser motorcycle made by Suzuki Motor Corporation since 2001. Prior to 2005, the model was named the ''Volusia'' for Volusia County, Florida, where it was unveiled at the 2001 Daytona Bike Week. In 2005, Suzuki re-branded it as the Suzuki Boulevard C50. It follows the formula of a smaller yet capable engine fitted into a frame sized for a slightly larger engine, a popular combination also in use by Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha in their respective cruiser lines. Overview Most Boulevard C50 components were carried over from the Volusia line, and in 2005 the Boulevard series began using fuel injection instead of a carburetor.
