Suzette Marie Raines is an American politician and a former Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates having represented District 35 from January 12, 2013 until December 1, 2014. Raines won the primary for the 2014 House of Delegates election, however she would later drop out from the race due to allegations from the Democratic Party as well as other personal reasons, and as a result her name was replaced on the ballot. West Virginia Legislature
The West Virginia Legislature is the state legislature of the U.S. state of West Virginia. A bicameral legislative body, the legislature is split between the upper Senate and the lower House of Delegates. It was established under Article VI of the West Virginia Constitution following the state's split from Virginia during the American Civil War in 1863. John "JB" McCuskey (born in Charleston, West Virginia) is an American politician who has served as West Virginia State Auditor since January 16, 2017. A Republican, he was a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates representing District 35 from 2013 to 2017. On February 28, 2023, he announced he would run for governor of West Virginia to attempt to succeed term limited governor Jim Justice. However, in July 2023 he announced that he would run for attorney general instead. Fredrik Eric Nelson, Jr. (born December 4, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia) is an American politician and a former Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, having represented District 35 from January 12, 2013 until December 1, 2020. Nelson served consecutively from January 2011 until January 2013 in the District 30 seat.
