Suzanne Stonebarger
Suzanne Stonebarger is a professional American beach volleyball player. Stonebarger is an alumna of the University of Nevada-Reno, where she played college volleyball. At Nevada-Reno Stonebarger met and played with her present-day teammate, Michelle More. After graduating from college, Stonebarger traded her uniform in for a bikini and a job in the Association of Volleyball Professionals playing professional beach volleyball. She and her partner are known as "Team Gorgeous". Stonebarger and More both make their homes in Redondo Beach, California. Stonebarger appeared as a "stranger" on the NBC game show ''Identity'', in which her profession as a pro beach volleyball player was eventually identified. Beach Volleyball
Beach volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of two or more players on a sand court divided by a net. Similar to indoor volleyball, the objective of the game is to send the ball over the net and to ground it on the opponent's side of the court. Each team also works in unison to prevent the opposing team from grounding the ball on their side of the court. Teams are allowed up to three touches to return the ball across the net, and individual players may not touch the ball twice consecutively except after a touch off an attempted block. Making a block touch leaves only two more touches before the ball must be hit over. The ball is put in play with a serve—a hit by the server from behind the rear court boundary over the net to the opponents. The receiving team typically uses their three touches to pass the ball, set it up for an attack, and then attack the ball by sending it back over the net. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. Michelle More (born June 12, 1981) is a professional American beach volleyball player. Michelle grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Nevada-Reno. At Nevada-Reno, More met fellow volleyball player Suzanne Stonebarger, who is her beach volleyball teammate. After a college volleyball career at Nevada-Reno in which she set several school records, More entered the Association of Volleyball Professionals. Richard Kyle Barnes (born February 6, 1981) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Barnes was born in Stockton, California. He played college golf at the University of Arizona from 2000 to 2003. During that time he was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000, Pac-10 Co-Player of the Year in 2001, second-team All-American in 2000 and 2001 and first-team All-American in 2003.
