Suzan Najm Aldeen ( ar, سوزان نجم الدين; born 1973) is a Syrian actress, whose memorable roles have earned her wide acclaim throughout the Arab world. After enrolling in the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture Department in Damascus, she was offered the opportunity to become an actress. This, however, did not stop her from pursuing her studies and graduating as an architect. Starting in 1990s Syrian dramas, Najm Aldeen went on to star in several renowned Arab series and movies. Biography Najm Aldeen was born on 24 November 1973, in Duraykish to a Syrian Alawite family. Suzan Shown Harjo (born June 2, 1945) (Cheyenne and Hodulgee Muscogee) is an advocate for Native American rights. She is a poet, writer, lecturer, curator, and policy advocate who has helped Native peoples recover more than one million acres (4,000 km²) of tribal lands. After co-producing the first American Indian news show in the nation for WBAI radio while living in New York City, and producing other shows and theater, in 1974 she moved to Washington, D.C., to work on national policy issues. She served as Congressional liaison for Indian affairs in the President Jimmy Carter administration and later as president of the National Council of American Indians. Harjo is president of the Morning Star Institute, a national Native American rights organization. Suzan Lee Pitt (July 11, 1943 – June 16, 2019) was an American film animator and painter, whose surreal, psychological animated films and paintings have been acclaimed and exhibited worldwide. Early life Pitt was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and studied painting at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, graduating with a BFA in 1965. In the late 1960s, based in New York, Pitt began experimenting with cutout animation using an 8 mm camera, completing her first short film ''Bowl, Garden, Theatre, Marble Game'' in 1970. Animation Her best-known film, ''Asparagus'', took four years to make, and debuted as part of an installation at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1979. Suzan Kerunen (born 1979) is a Ugandan world music singer and songwriter who performs African contemporary music in the local Ugandan language of Alur-Jonam (her mother tongue) as well as in English, Swahili and other world languages. Suzan Hall is a Toronto politician, best known for her role as city councillor in Toronto for Ward 1 Etobicoke North. A longtime resident of Etobicoke, she originally entered politics as a school board trustee. She eventually became chair of the Etobicoke Board of Education.
