Suwannee Hulaween
Suwannee Hulaween is an annual music and camping festival held over Halloween weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Overview The festival, hosted by The String Cheese Incident was originally produced by Silver Wrapper and Purple Hat Productions. In 2019 it was purchased by Etix. The festival is held outdoors on five to seven stages and allows the attendees to camp onsite for the weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park campground. Attendees are encouraged to dress in costumes befitting a Halloween dance party. The Main Stage is where The String Cheese Incident plays three sets each evening and is then followed by other headlining bands. The Amphitheater has a stage to accommodate additional headliners. The Patch is an additional stage the size of the Amphitheater. Spirit Lake is home to the art installation and a silent disco. The Campground Stage accommodates local, less well-known bands. Live Oak, Florida
Live Oak is a city in northern Florida and it is the county seat of Suwannee County, Florida, United States. The city is the county seat of Suwannee County and is located east of Tallahassee. As of 2010, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 6,850. U.S. Highway 90, U.S. Highway 129 and Interstate 10 are major highways running through Live Oak. The Heavy Pets
The Heavy Pets are an American jam band based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, renowned for their funk, jazz and reggae-infused brand of rock and roll. Officially formed in 2005, the band tours nationwide and appears regularly on the summer music festival circuit. Currently, the group is composed of guitarists Jeff Lloyd and Mike Garulli, keyboardist Jim Wuest, bassist Chris Patsis, and drummer Jamie Newitt. Judah And The Lion
Judah & the Lion are an American Alternative rock and folk band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2011. Currently the band consists only of Judah Akers (vocals, guitar) and Brian Macdonald (mandolin, vocals). History The original members of the band met while attending Belmont University in Nashville. Rising Appalachia is an American Appalachian folk music group led by multi-instrumentalist sisters Leah Song and Chloe Smith. Leah also performs as a solo artist. Nahko and Medicine for the People is an American world music group. The six-member band is headed by frontman Nahko Bear. Background Born in Portland, Oregon, of Puerto Rican and Filipino descent, Nahko Bear was adopted at a young age and raised by a white family. He wrote the song "Early February" shortly before this meeting; it describes a woman far too young to be pregnant putting her baby in the bed of a woman she'd never met. On July 22, 2021 the band announced via social media that they would no longer be performing, due to irreconcilable creative differences. Michael Melchiondo Jr. (born September 25, 1970), better known by his stage name Dean Ween, is an American guitarist, singer and a founding member of the alternative rock group Ween.
