Sutor Montegranaro
Sutor Basket Montegranaro, is an amateur Italian basketball club based in Montegranaro, Marche. It plays in the Promozione (7th division) as of June 2015. It was formerly in the top division, with the 2013-14 season its last in Lega Basket Serie A before on and off the court issues led to the club leaving the professional world. History The basketball club was founded in 1955 by local parish priest Don Gaetano Campanelli from Porto San Giorgio as ''Società Sportiva Sutor'', ''sutor'' being a Latin word for shoemaker, the main local source of employment at the time. Sutor mostly played in the lower divisions in its early years, they were promoted to the second division Legadue in 2001 for the first time in history. Though they were relegated back to Serie B they returned to the Legadue in 2004. Leroy Hurd
LeRoy Hurd (born May 26, 1980) is an American professional basketball player who last played for CSU Sibiu of the Romanian Liga Națională. Hurd was a multi-sport superstar at Moss Point High School before a five-inch growth spurt made a future in basketball possible. Hurd attended the University of Miami(2000 Big East Champions and Sweet 16) for two years before transferring to the University of Texas at San Antonio. His first year at UTSA was a mediocre season for his team although Hurd was named Southland Conference newcomer of the year. In 2003-2004 Hurd was named the 2004 Southland Conference Most Valuable Player after leading the conference in scoring with 19.4 points per game. Brandon Hunter (November 24, 1980 – September 12, 2023) was an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a college basketball career with the Ohio Bobcats, leading the NCAA in rebounding in 2002–03, he was selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2003 NBA draft. Kiwane Lemorris Garris (born September 24, 1974) is an American former professional basketball player. He was listed as a 6'2" (1.88 m), 183 lb (83 kg) point guard. Garris played college basketball at the University of Illinois, where his position was point guard. Kevin Freeman (born March 3, 1978) is a retired American basketball player and currently an assistant coach for the UConn Huskies. Freeman played professionally for eleven years in several countries and as a collegian was a starter on UConn's first NCAA championship team. Cheikh Yaya Dia (born March 20, 1974) is a Senegalese former professional basketball player. After growing up in Dakar, Dia moved to the United States and he played high school basketball at St. John's at Prospect Hall in Maryland; he then went on to play 4 years in college at Georgetown, where he was named the Big East Most Improved Player in his senior season in 1997.
