John Suthers
John William Suthers (born October 18, 1951) is an American attorney and politician serving as the Mayor of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He previously served as the Attorney General of Colorado, U.S. Attorney for Colorado, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, and Fourth Judicial District Attorney. He is a member of the Republican Party. Early life and education Suthers was born in Denver and adopted a month later by William and Marguerite Suthers of Colorado Springs. His father died when Suthers was 15, and his mother died when he was 23. He attended St. Mary's High School in Colorado Springs, and the University of Notre Dame, from which he graduated ''magna cum laude'' with a degree in government in 1974. Robert Bentley Suthers
Robert Bentley Suthers was born in Manchester in Lancashire, England in 1871. Very little is known about his personal life besides that which can be inferred from the 1911 UK census and the military records of his son, Robert Eric Suthers. Robert married a woman named Alice and fathered a son, Robert Eric Suthers. R. E. Suthers was killed in the First Battle of the Aisne during the First World War on 2 August 1918. He was nineteen. After his son's death, Robert Bentley Suthers became a writer for '' The Clarion'', a socialist newspaper. He published the majority of his work through ''The Clarion'' and engaged in a long philosophical debate regarding the nature of free will with G.K Chesterton.
