Sustainable Initiative
The Sustainable Initiative ( sv, Hållbart initiativ, Hi) is a political party in Åland. History Sustainable Initiative was officially formed as a political party in June 2019 ahead of that year's elections. Prior, it had been an unregistered political movement. The party received 8.3% of the vote in those elections, winning two of the 30 seats in Parliament, and improving their result from the 2015 elections by over 7 percentage points. In the municipal election the party won in total of four seats: two in Mariehamn, one in Lemland and one in Hammarland. Nordic Council
The Nordic Council is the official body for formal inter-parliamentary Nordic cooperation among the Nordic countries. Formed in 1952, it has 87 representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as well as from the autonomous areas of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland. The representatives are members of parliament in their respective countries or areas and are elected by those parliaments. Mariehamn ( , ; fi, Maarianhamina ; la, Portus Mariae) is the capital city, capital of Åland, an autonomous territory under Finland, Finnish sovereignty. The Lagting, or ''Lagtinget'', is the parliament of Åland, an autonomous, demilitarised and unilingually Swedish-speaking territory of Finland. The Lagting has 30 seats, which makes for approximately one seat per 700 voters in 2022. Annette Bergbo (13 November 1953) is a journalist, politician and spokesperson for the party Sustainable Initiative of Åland. She has served as a member of the Lagting since December 2019. Biography Bergbo is a freelance journalist by profession who worked at the Ålandstidningen newspaper for more than 20 years.
