''Suspect Device'' is a 1995 American film directed by Rick Jacobson and starring C. Thomas Howell. It was the first film of the ''Roger Corman Presents'' series. Rick Jacobson is an American film director, television director and producer, and stage and television actor. Biography A graduate from the California Institute of the Arts film and television program, Rick Jacobson began his professional filmmaking career with legendary film producer Roger Corman when he hired Jacobson to direct the martial arts actioner “FULL CONTACT”, Jacobson's first full-length feature film, at the age of 21. With 16 feature films as director, producer and writer to his credit, Jacobson shifted to the small screen where he continues work as director, producer and writer of over 100 episodes of episodic television including "SPARTACUS: Blood and Sand / Gods of the Arena / Vengeance / War of the Damned", "ASH vs EVIL DEAD", "KNIGHTFALL", '' Xena: Warrior Princess''. Christian "Chris" Peschken (born June 9, 1955) is a German-American cameraman, director, producer and screenwriter. He has been involved in film and radio and television production since 1974. He is a professionally trained Film-Camera Assistant (1974 at German Newsreel / Filmwochenschau 'Blick in die Welt"), and later Film Cameraman, and certified Radio Broadcast Audio Engineer (earned during his service at the 'Bundeswehr' (German Federal Defence Forces) at the Army's Radio Station 'Radio 701 Andernach'. Roger William Corman (born April 5, 1926) is an American film director, producer, and actor. He has been called "The Pope of Pop Cinema" and is known as a trailblazer in the world of independent film. Many of Corman's films are based on works that have an already-established critical reputation, such as his cycle of low-budget cult films adapted from the tales of Edgar Allan Poe. ''Roger Corman Presents'' was a series of films made for Showtime by movie producer Roger Corman. Production Showtime approached Corman with the idea of doing a series of science fiction and horror feature films. They started filming in January 1995 and finished shooting 13 films in mid June. Corman said, "I don't think a day went by that we weren't shooting. We were shooting on weekends, we were shooting at our studio here. We were shooting at local locations, and we shot one film in Moscow and one film in Manila. So we were all over the world with this thing." John Beck (born January 28, 1943) is an American retired actor, known for his role as Mark Graison in the television series ''Dallas'' during the mid-1980s. Early life Beck was born in Chicago, Illinois but he grew up in Evanston and Joliet on his father's ranch with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. His goals changed at the age of sixteen after performing in a play in high school to overcome shyness. Three years later, Beck moved to California and took jobs in television commercials.
