Sushi Typhoon
Sushi Typhoon is a Japanese genre film production company founded in 2010 and currently owned by media conglomerate Nikkatsu Corporation, Japan's oldest existing film studio. History Sushi Typhoon was founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of Nikkatsu, with the intent to create low-budget horror, science fiction, and fantasy films aimed at an international audience. ''Zeiram'' producer Yoshinori Chiba is credited as Sushi Typhoon's creator and oversees the company's full production schedule. Since its inception, the company has produced seven feature films. The label was put on indefinite hiatus in early 2012, and has produced no new films since. Seiji Chiba
is a Japanese film director and producer. Career He moved to the United States in 1990 and studied various aspects of filmmaking at Los Angeles City College, ranging from directing, and screenwriting to editing. After graduating from LACC, he returned to Japan and directed/produced a self-financed film, ''Two of Us'', in 1995. He joined a film production firm and honed his skills as a producer. His commercial directorial debut was in 2001 with ''A Tale of a Desert Island'' (Mujintō Monogatari). He has since worked on a variety of projects as a director, producer, and screenwriter. Helldriver
is a 2010 Japanese splatter film directed by Yoshihiro Nishimura. It stars Yumiko Hara and Eihi Shiina, and was written by Nishimura and Daichi Nagisa. Synopsis A girl named Kika and her father hide from her mother, Rikka, who has gone insane and resorted to cannibalism, as well as her uncle, Yasushi, who aids his sister in her crimes. They find the two hiding in an abandoned town and incinerate Kika's father to death. Before the homicidal siblings can kill Kika, a meteorite falls from the sky inexplicably and hits Rikka, punching through her and destroying her heart. Deadball
