Susann Götz
Susann Götz (born in Bad Muskau, East Germany) is a German ice hockey defense (ice hockey), defender. International career Götz was selected for the Germany women's national ice hockey team in the 2006 Winter Olympics, 2006 and 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 Winter Olympics. In 2006, she did not record a point in five games. In 2014, she had one goal and three assists in the five games. Götz also played for Germany in the Ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Women's qualification, qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics, the Ice hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics – Women's qualification, 2010 Olympics and the Ice hockey at the 2006 Winter Olympics – Women's qualification, 2006 Olympics. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). The ice hockey competitions of the 2014 Winter Olympics were played at two venues, located 300 meters from the other, within the Olympic Park in Sochi, Russia.
