Susan Browning
Susan Browning (born Susan Brown; February 25, 1941 – April 23, 2006) was an American actress. Early years Browning was born Susan Brown in Baldwin, New York, and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1958. She attended Penn State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater arts in 1962. She changed her last name to differentiate herself from another actress named Susan Brown. Career After Browning finished college, she acted with the Equity Library Theatre. Impresario Julius Monk saw her in a musical production there and signed her for a revue, ''Dime a Dozen'', at Plaza 9. She was in that show for a year and left to make her debut on Broadway in ''Love and Kisses''. Browning was nominated for two Tony Awards: for Best Actress in a Musical for ''Company'' in 1971 and for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for ''Goodtime Charley'' in 1975. Baldwin, Nassau County, New York
Baldwin is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 33,919 at the time of the 2020 census. History Original inhabitants of the area between Parsonage Creek near Oceanside and Milburn Creek near Freeport were Native Americans known as the Meroke, or Merrick, a band of Lenape people who were indigenous to most of the South Shore of Long Island. They spoke an Algonquian language and lived in two villages along Milburn Creek. In 1643, English colonists began to call this area Hick's Neck, after two of Hempstead's early settlers, John Spragg from England and John Hicks from Flushing, New York. They extended Hempstead village south to the salt meadows. The grist mill built by John Pine in 1686 on Milburn Creek attracted more English settlers. ''Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman'' is an American satirical soap opera that aired in daily weeknight syndication from January 1976 to July 1977. The series follows the titular Mary Hartman, an Ohio housewife attempting to cope with various bizarre and violent incidents occurring around her. The series was produced by Norman Lear, directed by Joan Darling, Jim Drake, Nessa Hyams, and Giovanna Nigro, and starred Louise Lasser, Greg Mullavey, Dody Goodman, Norman Alden, Mary Kay Place, Graham Jarvis, Debralee Scott, and Victor Kilian. The series writers were Gail Parent and Ann Marcus. Developed by Lear with the intention of examining the effects of consumerism on the American housewife, the series premiered in January 1976, and was filmed at KTLA Studios in Los Angeles. ''Sabrina'' is a 1995 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Sydney Pollack from a screenplay by Barbara Benedek and David Rayfiel.
