Suryodaya
Suryodaya Municipality is a municipality located in Koshi Pradesh of Nepal in Ilam district. Suryodaya is the Nepali translation for “Sunrise". It was formed by merging three village development committees i.e. Phikal Bazar, Panchakanya and Kanyam in May 2014 and Pashupatinagar, Shree Antu, Samalbung, Gorkhe, Laxmipur (except ward number 5) and ward 8 and 9 of Jogmai in February 2017. It is the largest municipality in the district of Ilam in terms of area. It covers the central part of the district of Ilam bordering Darjeeling in the east in east, Ilam municipality in the West, Rong Rural Municipality in the South, Mai Municipality in the South-West and Maijogmai rural municipality in the North. It offers three major transit points to India namely Pashupatinagar, Chhabisay and Manebhanjyang including other minor points like Okayti Godamdhura. Population The 2011 population was 56,691. Lakshmipur, Mechi
Laxmipur is a town and former Village Development Committee in Ilam District in the Province No. 1 of eastern Nepal. Previously when Laxmipur was still a Village Development Committee it consisted of a total of nine numbered wards. After the political reformation of the country and being declared as the federal democratic republic of Nepal, Laxmipur was merged with Suryodaya Municipality in February 2017, together with some other villages of eastern Ilam. Laxmipur-1,2,4,8 now became Suryodaya-14 and Laxmipur 3-6-7-9 now became Suryodaya-13. Pashupatinagar is a neighborhood in Suryodaya Municipality of Ilam District of Province No. 1 in Nepal. Previously it was a separate Village Development Committee in Ilam District in the Province No. 1 of Nepal. Shree Antu
Shree Antu is a Village / Valley within Suryodaya Municipality in Ilam District in the Province No. 1 of eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,981. Phikal Bazar
Fikkal or Phikkal Bazar ( ne, फिक्कल बजार) is a former Village Development Committee (VDC) and now a part of Suryodaya Municipality (ward no.-10) in Ilam District, Koshi Province, Nepal. Fikkal Bazar is a business hub of eastern Ilam. It lies on the Mechi Highway. It is directly linked by road to Darjeeling, India, which sits away. Manebhanjyang, Darjeeling
Maney Bhanjyang (2150 m) is a small transit-town in the Darjeeling Sadar subdivision, Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India. It is located at the gateway of the Singalila National Park, 28 km away from Darjeeling town. The income of the local residents is geared towards tourism, especially foreign trekkers. Maney Bhanjyang is the start of the trailhead for the trek to Sandakphu on the Singalila Ridge, the highest point in West Bengal.
