''Survivor'' is the third studio album by American girl group Destiny's Child. It was released in Japan on April 25, 2001, and in the US on May 1, 2001, by Columbia Records. The album features production by lead singer Beyoncé Knowles and J.R. Rotem, with additional production from Poke & Tone, Cory Rooney and Mark J. Feist. Four singles were released from the album: " Survivor", "Bootylicious", a cover of Samantha Sang's "Emotion", and " Nasty Girl". The album was a massive commercial success, debuting at number one in over fifteen countries across Europe, North America and other continents. In the United States, the album debuted at number one on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart with first-week sales of 663,000 copies, the highest first-week sales figures of any female group in the SoundScan era, and stayed at number one for two consecutive weeks. Destiny's Child was an American girl group whose final line-up comprised Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The group began their musical career as Girl's Tyme, formed in 1990 in Houston, Texas. After years of limited success, the original quartet comprising Knowles, Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett were signed in 1997 to Columbia Records as Destiny's Child. Nasty Girl (Destiny's Child Song)
"Nasty Girl" is a song recorded by American group Destiny's Child for their third studio album '' Survivor'' (2001). Written by Maurizio Bassi, Naimy Hackett, and its producers Beyoncé Knowles and Anthony Dent, it features a distinct vocal interpolation of Salt-n-Pepa's " Push It" (1987) and Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" (1985). The song was released as the fourth and final single from ''Survivor'' outside North America on March 4, 2002, by Columbia Records. A moderate commercial success, "Nasty Girl" reached the top ten in Australia and the top 30 in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. LaTavia Marie Roberson (born November 1, 1981) is an American R&B singer. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as an original member of the R&B group Destiny's Child, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. LeToya Nicole Luckett (born March 11, 1981) is an American R&B singer and actress. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as a founding member of the R&B girl group Destiny's Child, one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time.
