Surla
Surala is a village in Chikti Block of Ganjam district, Odisha, India at Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border on National Highway 5, on the other side of the Andhra-Odisha border on NH-5 is the Ichchapuram municipality. There is a railway station named Surala Road near to village Surala on Howrah-Chennai main line. There's Primary Health Center just outside the village. The Surala Road railway station is adjacent to a small mountain called Govardhangiri which is around from the main village. People in the surrounding villages believe that this is the same hill that Lord Krishna lifted up to give shelter and protect the herd of cattle from the fury of a storm created by Indra, the king of Devatas. People from Girisola, a nearby village, worship Krishna and Indra at a small pool of water ( which never dries) in the crevice of a big boulder on the hill. Odisha
Odisha (English: , ), formerly Orissa ( the official name until 2011), is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It is the 8th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. Ichchapuram is a town in the Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The town is located nearly 142 km from the district capital, Srikakulam. Bahuda River
Cheyyeru river is a river in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh that is a tributary of the Pennar river. Course The Cheyyeru is formed by the confluence of the rivers Bahuda and Puncha that originate in Andhra Pradesh. The two streams join at Rayavaram to form the Cheyyeru which then flows for 87 km before joining the Pennar as a right bank tributary at Gundlamada in the Sidhout taluk of Kadapa district, draining a total area of 7,325 km2. The Gunjana river is a tributary of the Cheyyeru and along the Gunjana valley several paleolithic settlements have been discovered. There are several gorges on the river including one after the confluence of its headstreams and the Balarajupalle gorge.
