Superstar (ski Course)
Superstar is a FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup ski piste in the Northeastern United States, northeast United States at Killington, Vermont. Located on Skye Peak mountain of the Killington Ski Resort, the course is open to the public as a Piste#Ratings, black diamond trail. It has hosted eleven women's World Cup events (List of FIS Alpine Ski World Cup ladies' hosts, 45th of all-time), the sixth most in the U.S. The race course debuted in November 2016–17 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2016, succeeding Aspen Mountain (ski area), Aspen, Colorado, as the early season U.S. host for women's technical events (Slalom skiing, slalom and giant slalom). 1990–91 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup
The 25th World Cup season began in August 1990 in New Zealand (for men only), resumed in December, and concluded in March 1991 in the United States. The overall winners were Marc Girardelli of Luxembourg, his fourth title (the third man to reach that milestone) and Petra Kronberger of Austria (her second). This was the first season following the reunification of Germany and the last before the dissolution of Yugoslavia. During this season, the three men's races at Wengen were cancelled after the death of Gernot Reinstadler of Austria on January 18. Reinstadler crashed during a training run for the downhill race, immediately above the finish line. A break in the schedule was for the 1991 World Championships, held in Saalbach, Austria between January 22 and February 3, 1991. Wendy Holdener
Wendy Holdener (born 12 May 1993) is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer who specialises in slalom and combined. She is a two-time World champion in combined and a five-time Olympic medalist, four individual with one gold medal in the team event at Pyeongchang in 2018. Four years later in 2022, she won a silver medal in the combined. Career Holdener made her World Cup debut in Sölden in October 2010, and attained her first podium in March 2013, a second place in slalom at Ofterschwang. In 2016, she gained her first two World Cup victories and won the crystal globe title in the combined discipline. Holdener's first win in a World Cup slalom came in November 2022 at Killington, shared with Anna Swenn-Larsson, after thirty previous podiums in the discipline without a victory. Veronika Velez-Zuzulová
Veronika Velez-Zuzulová ( Zuzulová; born 15 July 1984) is a retired Slovak alpine ski racer. Born in Bratislava, she specialised in the slalom and was the most successful Slovak alpine skier before Petra Vlhová. She was coached by her father Timotej Zuzula and Vladimír Kovár. In April 2012, she married coach Romain Velez and added her maiden name to her married name becoming Velez-Zuzulová. Velez-Zuzulová started skiing at age 3; at 14 she won the Trofeo Topolino in Italy, an unofficial children's world championship. Europa Cup She started competing in the Europa Cup from the 2000/2001 season, and she took Europa Cup race wins on 21 December 2003, 23 February 2004 and 19 December 2006, and 3rd place on 6 and 22 February 2004. Sofia Goggia (; born 15 November 1992) is an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer who competes in all disciplines and specialises in the speed events of downhill and super-G. She is a two-time Olympic downhill medalist — gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics, the first one for an Italian woman — and three-time World Cup downhill title winner (2018, 2021, 2022). Career With only four career starts in giant slalom (and no finishes) in her World Cup career, Goggia was named to the Italian women's team for the 2013 World Championships in Schladming, Austria. Stratton Mountain Resort
Stratton Mountain Resort is a ski area in the northeastern United States, located on Stratton Mountain in Stratton, Vermont, east of Manchester. History Stratton was established in December 1961 with three double chairlifts and a three-story base lodge. Although the mountain was top notch, the access road was a disaster; it was paved in 1962, prior to the second season, and two T-bar lifts were added in 1963 for the third season. A big expansion took place for the 1964–65 season when the Snow Bowl was opened, bringing a double chairlift and over of terrain. Another double chairlift was opened and the base lodge was expanded for the 1966–67 season, giving way to the birth of European style après-ski entertainment by the Innsbruck Trio, a group of Austrian ski instructors.
