Supernatural Role Playing Game
The ''Supernatural Role Playing Game'' is a role-playing game by Margaret Weis Productions that was released in 2009. It is based on the television series ''Supernatural'' and was the final game to use the Cortex System. The Game Like most role-playing games, ''Supernatural'' requires several players; one person to be the Game Master and two to five others to play hunters such as Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester. It also requires multiple polyhedral dice ranging from four-sided to twelve-sided. The setting The Supernatural Role Playing Game is set in the world of the Supernatural TV series and focuses on an elite group of hunters who deal with supernatural threats ordinary people do not believe exist. Jamie Chambers
Jamie Chambers (born January 25, 1975) is an American game designer who works primarily on role-playing games, contributing in a variety of genres. He served as Vice President of the non-profit Game Manufacturers Association, a trade association for the hobby games industry, from 2007 until 2016, when he chose not to seek re-election. He succeeded Marcus King for the post. Chambers worked with Margaret Weis at Sovereign Press in 1988, then transitioned with her to Margaret Weis Productions (MWP) where he served as Vice President and Lead Designer. While there, he created the Cortex System, a role-playing game ruleset that has been used by MWP since that time. Career Jamie Chambers contributed to the mythos of the world for Sovereign Stone through short stories, as well as by running the Sovereign Stone website. ''Supernatural'' is an American dark fantasy drama television series created by Eric Kripke. It was first broadcast on September 13, 2005, on The WB, and subsequently became part of successor The CW's lineup. Gen Con is the largest tabletop game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events. ''Dragonlance'' is a shared universe created by Laura and Tracy Hickman, and expanded by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis under the direction of TSR, Inc. into a series of fantasy novels. Margaret Edith Weis (; born March 16, 1948) is an American fantasy and science fiction author, of dozens of novels and short stories. At TSR, Inc., she teamed with Tracy Hickman to create the ''Dragonlance'' role-playing game (RPG) world. She is founding CEO and owner of Sovereign Press, Inc and Margaret Weis Productions, licensing several popular television and movie franchises to make RPG series in addition to their own. In 1999, ''Pyramid'' magazine named Weis one of ''The Millennium's Most Influential Persons'', saying she and Hickman are "basically responsible for the entire gaming fiction genre".
