Superman Confidential
''Superman Confidential'' was a monthly comic book series from DC Comics. The series debuted on November 1, 2006 and was canceled in April 2008 after 14 issues. ''Superman Confidential'' featured Superman stories set in the early years of the character’s career. The stories illustrated key moments in the character’s past such as first meetings, critical decisions, alliances, confrontations, and events that shaped him into the character he is today. The creative team on the series rotated. The stories in ''Confidential'' are the earliest points of reference in the character's newly established continuity, since (according to former monthly ''Superman'' writer Kurt Busiek) the character's origin in this new continuity had yet to be established. Tim Sale (artist)
Timothy Roger Sale (May 1, 1956 – June 16, 2022) was an American Eisner Award-winning comics artist, "best known for his work on the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman and for influencing depictions of the Caped Crusader in numerous films." He is primarily known for his collaborations with writer Jeph Loeb, which included both comics work, and artwork for the TV series ''Heroes''. Sale's renditions of Batman influenced modern cinematic depictions of the character, with film directors and actors directly citing Sale's work. Newsarama is an American website that publishes news, interviews, and essays about the American comic book industry. It is owned by Future US. In June 2020, Newsarama was merged with the website GamesRadar+, also owned by FutureUS. History Newsarama began in mid-1995 as a series of Internet forum postings on the Prodigy comic book message boards by fan Mike Doran. In the forum postings, Doran shared comic book-related news items he had found across the World Wide Web and, as these postings became more regular and read widely, he gave them the title "Prodigy Comic Book Newswire." The Toyman is the name of three supervillains and one adolescent superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, mostly as an adversary for Superman. The most well-known incarnation of the Toyman is Winslow Percival Schott, a criminal who uses toy-based or toy-themed devices and gimmicks in his various crimes. New Genesis is a fictional planet appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. A part of Jack Kirby's Fourth World mythos, the planet is home to the heroic New Gods led by the sage Highfather. New Genesis is the positive counterpart of Apokolips, home of the evil New Gods led by the tyrant Darkseid. New Genesis is an unspoiled and sunlit world of forests, mountains, and bodies of water. The New Gods inhabit Supertown, a golden city floating above the planet's surface.
