''Super Friends'' is an American animated television series about a team of superheroes, which ran from 1973 to 1985 on ABC as part of its Saturday-morning cartoon lineup. It was produced by Hanna-Barbera and was based on the Justice League of America and associated comic book characters published by DC Comics. The name of the program (and the Justice League members featured with the Super Friends) has been variously represented (as ''Super Friends'' and ''Challenge of the Superfriends'', for example) at different points in its broadcast history. ''Challenge of the Superfriends'' is an American animated television series about a team of superheroes which ran from September 9, 1978, to December 23, 1978, on ABC. The complete series (16 episodes) was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and is based on the Justice League and associated comic book characters published by DC Comics and created by Julius Schwartz, Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky. It was the third series of ''Super Friends'' cartoons, following the original ''Super Friends'' in 1973 and ''The All-New Super Friends Hour'' in 1977. ''Super Friends'' is an American List of animated television series, animated series about a team of superheroes which ran from 1973 to 1985 on American Broadcasting Company, ABC. In the 1990s, the show was being shown on Cartoon Network and more recently its sister channel, Boomerang (TV network), Boomerang. It is based on the Justice League and associated comic book characters published by DC Comics. Each episode was 44 minutes long. Ted Cassidy
Theodore Crawford Cassidy (July 31, 1932 – January 16, 1979) was an American actor noted for his tall stature at and deep voice. He tended to play unusual characters in offbeat or science-fiction series such as ''Star Trek'' and ''I Dream of Jeannie'', and played Lurch on ''The Addams Family'' in the mid-1960s. He also narrated ''The Incredible Hulk'' TV series and voiced The Hulk in the show’s first 2 seasons. Will Schaefer
Willis H. Schaefer (November 23, 1928 – June 30, 2007) was an American composer nominated for an Emmy Award for his work. He wrote background music for a number of popular television shows and composed over 700 commercials. His most famous track, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” was used in ''The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie'', and Stephen Hillenburg changed the name of the track to “Now That We're Men”, because he added lyrics to the song. The Justice League (also known as The Justice League of America) are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.
