Superchick
Superchick, originally known as Superchic '', was an American Christian alternative pop/rock band. Their music incorporated various styles such as pop, punk, rock, rap, and R&B. Their sound has been compared to mainstream artists like No Doubt and Avril Lavigne only with a heavier sound. Superchick has had five songs reach No. 1 on music charts, and their song " Stand in the Rain" held the No. 1 spot for nine weeks on '' R&R'' Christian Hit Radio (CHR) chart in 2006/2007. History 1999: Debut Superchick made their debut in 1999 at an Audio Adrenaline concert in front of an audience of 5,000. They continued to perform at live events throughout that year. Rock What You Got
''Rock What You Got'' is the fifth album from the band Superchick. It was released on June 24, 2008. The album debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 album chart, selling nearly 10,000 copies its first week. The band has described the album as more progressive, in-your-face sound and has dubbed it "rock-o-tronic". In May 2008, Inpop released three radio singles from the album. "Hold" was played on Christian contemporary hit radio stations, "Crawl" went to adult contemporary stations, and "Hey, Hey" to Christian rock stations. In late May, Inpop Records released a free download of the track "Alive" for further promotion of the album. The album also features an all-instrumental song ("Guitar Hero") and a remix of their biggest hit "Stand in the Rain". Beauty From Pain
''Beauty from Pain'' is the fourth album released by the band Superchick. This is the first CD the band has released with an official drummer, Brandon Estelle. Christian rapper and hip-hop singer tobyMac appears in the song "Stories (Down to the Bottom)", which is also heard on his CD ''Welcome to Diverse City''. Track listing ''Beauty from Pain 1.1'' ''Beauty From Pain'' was released again in July 2006 as ''Beauty From Pain 1.1''. This is Superchick's mainstream debut album with Columbia Records. It is different from the original in that the track order was also slightly rearranged. It features remixed versions of "We Live", and "Anthem", does not include "Stories", and includes ''Regeneration'''s "One Girl Revolution". A new track, " Stand in the Rain", was included on this re-release. The song reached No. 1 on the R&R Christian Hit Radio (CHR) chart for 9 weeks starting in October 2006. Audio Adrenaline
Audio Adrenaline was an American Christian rock band that formed in 1986 at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky. The band gained recognition during the 1990s and received two Grammy Awards and multiple Dove Awards. Audio Adrenaline were regular performers at the annual Creation Festival, Spirit West Coast festival, Agape Music Festival, and Alive Festival. In 2007, the group disbanded due to lead singer Mark Stuart's spasmodic dysphonia. During this time, they released eight studio albums.
