''Super Roots 10 / Ant 10'' is the ninth installment of the ''Super Roots'' series of releases by Japanese experimental music, experimental band Boredoms. The CD of the full version was released in Japan on January 28, 2009. On August 5, 2009, two 12" singles were released from this in Japan: ''Ant 10 Vol. 1'' (tracks 3 and 5 as sides A and B, respectively) and ''Ant 10 Vol. 2'' (tracks 2 and 6). The American releases on Thrill Jockey were a double 12" single (tracks 2, 3, 5 and 6, in that order) with enclosed 24" x 24" poster, which is now out of print, and MP3 downloads. Boredoms
Boredoms () (later known as V∞redoms) is a rock band from Osaka, Japan formed in 1986. The band's sound is often referred to as noise rock, or sometimes Japanoise (Japan’s noise music scene), though their more recent records have moved toward repetitive psychedelic rock, ambient soundscapes, and tribal drumming. The band has a vast and sometimes confusing discography. Many band members have rotated through the group over the years, often using a number of various stage names. Singer Yamantaka Eye is the closest the band has to a frontman; his style includes a range of baffling screams, babbling, electronic effects, and very heavy post-production. ''77 Boa Drum'' is a live album by Japanese experimental music group Boredoms, recorded on July 7, 2007, at the Empire–Fulton Ferry section of Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. It was released on two CDs, plus a 20-minute all-region NTSC DVD documenting the performance, mounted in a large hardcover book with photos and full credits. In Japan the package sells for 7,777 yen (including sales tax), about US$70. The concert featured the core Boredoms lineup of Yamataka Eye on electronics, vocals and Sevena (a custom-made instrument that, at the performance, was a vertically mounted array of seven electric lap steel guitars played with sticks); Yoshimi P-We; Yojiro Tatekawa; and Muneomi Senju. ''Drowned in Sound'', sometimes abbreviated to ''DiS'', is a UK-based music webzine financed by artist management company Silentway. Founded by editor Sean Adams, the site features reviews, news, interviews, and discussion forums. History ''DiS'' began as an email fanzine in 1998 called ''The Last Resort'' but was relaunched by founder and editor Sean Adams as ''Drowned in Sound'' in 2000. The freelance writing team is currently spread across four continents – North America, Asia, Europe and Australasia. The site is mostly based on contributions from unpaid writers and has an integrated forum to allow for discussion and comments on interviews, news and reviews. Experimental Music
Experimental music is a general label for any music or music genre that pushes existing boundaries and genre definitions. Experimental compositional practice is defined broadly by exploratory sensibilities radically opposed to, and questioning of, institutionalized compositional, performing, and aesthetic conventions in music. Hans-Peter Lindstrøm
Hans-Peter Lindstrøm (born 16 February 1973) is a Norwegian music producer who works under the name Lindstrøm. He established the music label Feedelity in 2002. He often collaborates with fellow producer Prins Thomas (together constituting the musical group Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas). Lindstrøm won a Spellemannsprisen in 2008 for '' Where You Go I Go Too''.
