Super Extra Bonus Party are a Choice Music Prize winning indie-electronica band, formed in November 2005 and based in Kildare, Ireland. Their music spanned various genres such as electronica, indie and hip hop. Their debut album '' Super Extra Bonus Party LP'' was released to widespread critical acclaim, winning the 2007 Choice Music Prize and considered "the most inventive Irish album this decade." Aside from headline shows, the band played with the likes of The Go! Team, Cadence Weapon, Bonde do Rolê, Subtle and Alec Empire as well as slots at Electric Picnic in 2007 and 2008. The band's second album, Night Horses, was released in 2009. Super Extra Bonus Party announced an indefinite hiatus in 2011. White Noise is an English experimental electronic music band formed in London in 1968, after American-born David Vorhaus, a classical bass player with a background in physics and electronic engineering, attended a lecture by Delia Derbyshire, a sound scientist at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Derbyshire and Brian Hodgson, then both former members of electronic music project ''Unit Delta Plus'', joined Vorhaus to form the band. Biography ''An Electric Storm'' In June 1969 White Noise released the groundbreaking album '' An Electric Storm'' on Island Records. Nina Hynes is an Irish musician and music producer from Dublin, Republic of Ireland. She releases music through her own label Transplant Records on www.ninahynes.bandcamp.com/ and also privately to subscribers. The Choice Music Prize (), known for sponsorship reasons as the RTÉ Choice Music Prize is an annual music prize awarded to the best album from a band or solo musician who is born in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland or holds an Irish passport. For bands, the majority of members must have been born in the island of Ireland or hold an Irish passport. Since it first began in 2005, the main awards ceremony had been broadcast live on the Irish independent and national radio station, Today FM, every March with the exception of the 2014 ceremony which took place on 27 February 2014 and it is also held in Vicar Street, Dublin with the exception of the 2012 ceremony which was held in the Olympia Theatre (Dublin). Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. The ''Sunday Tribune'' was an Irish Sunday broadsheet newspaper published by Tribune Newspapers plc.
